Battle Born Progress Launches Digital Campaign Asking Rep. Amodei Whether He Will Side with the Rich or Support Build Back Better

Washoe County, Nevada — Today, Battle Born Progress initiated its latest action as part of a nationwide campaign first reported by CNBC that calls on Republicans and all members of Congress to choose everyday Americans and pass Biden’s Build Back Better agenda by making the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share. 

In addition to an in-state digital ad campaign (graphic design pictured above) in Amodei’s Congressional District 2, Battle Born Progress will be organizing a live stream roundtable on Thursday to discuss why Build Back Better is needed and how it will benefit Nevada’s working families. 

We are calling on Congressman Mark Amodei to tax the rich, who have only gotten richer during the pandemic, in order for Nevadans to pay less for prescription drugs and out-of-pocket health care costs, receive dental, hearing, and vision as part of Medicare, pay less for child care, have access to paid family and medical leave, and so much more that working families need. The choice should be clear. 

Poll after poll shows that Americans overwhelmingly support the Build Back Better agenda: 70 percent of voters across party lines are in favor of the agenda, and 77 percent of those voters support raising taxes on corporations that don’t pay their fair share.

“Congress has a clear choice: side with American families, or side with big corporations and the rich. We’re eager to see whether Rep. Amodei is taking the side of billionaires and big corporations or listening to his constituents and supporting President Biden’s economic agenda. President Biden wants to cut costs for families by lowering prescription drug prices, expanding Medicare coverage, making child care more affordable, providing paid family and medical leave, and investing in good paying jobs that benefit working Nevadans. Rep. Amodei and other lawmakers have a clear choice: stand with everyday Americans, or stand with the ultra rich who don’t pay their fair share.”
