28 Aug Commissioner Susan Brager Knows Nothing About Saving Red Rock

LAS VEGAS –  Today, outgoing Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager endorsed Tisha Black over Justin Jones.

Battle Born Progress Executive Director, Annette Magnus, made the following remarks:

“Commissioner Susan Brager failing to endorse the only person that knows the real issues about Red Rock is a complete insult, not only for her constituents but for all of the Nevadans that care about this precious natural treasure.

Brager’s endorsement of Tisha Black is fitting since Brager knows nothing about the real need to save Red Rock and neither does Tisha Black. Brager ignored eight hours of public testimony to Save Red Rock during a commission hearing and instead was a rubber-stamp to allow development near to Red Rock Canyon against the wishes of the majority of Southern Nevadans.

In her endorsement, Brager stated that she appreciates Black’s ‘business acumen”. Does ‘business acumen’ mean bought and paid for by big developers that have been working to develop near Red Rock and ruin the area for future generations?

Brager is trying to confuse voters which is deeply troubling because ensuring the protection of Red Rock and its surrounding area is crucial. While Brager and Black are in the pockets of development companies, Justin Jones has stood alongside the hundreds of people that have been active in asking the Clark County Commission to protect Red Rock. Today’s endorsement and comments by Brager prove that she has no idea about this issue and hopefully voters are able to see through this ridiculous announcement.”
