Adam Laxalt continues to hide from Nevadans and our questions about his record

LAS VEGAS –  Over the holiday weekend, it was revealed that Channel 8 changed the format of the only GOP primary debate to be held in Nevada to a pre-recorded “forum.” In an unsurprising move that was highlighted by both Dan Schwartz and Jared Fisher, questions have been raised as to what Laxalt’s involvement was in the last minute change to the format of the debate. Annette Magnus, Executive Director of Battle Born Progress released the following statement:

“This is the latest example in a pattern of behavior with Adam Laxalt. Laxalt refuses to answer tough questions from his constituents and the media who deserve to know his stances on key issues. I will still be commentating during tonight’s forum on Channel 8 and I plan to highlight this issue. There is no reason the Republican primary opponents should not debate in the same open and fair way the Democrats did last week. We need transparency in the race for Governor and this flies in the face of what Nevadans deserve to make informed decisions in this election. Laxalt continues to run and hide but we will be there every step of the way to hold him and all of the candidates accountable.”
