RENO, Nev. – Battle Born Progress is excited to announce that Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve will join us for our Progressive Summit on Saturday, February 6, 2016, in Northern Nevada.
The annual Progressive Summit will be held in Reno for the first time at the University of Nevada, Reno, and will be sponsored by the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN). ASUN is one of many generous statewide sponsors this year. The event will feature national, state and local speakers, and will include panels and workshops to teach community members the basics of how to be involved as a grassroots activist in 2016 and beyond. This daylong event is open to the public. Participants must register to attend and can do so here: https://battlebornprogress.actionkit.com/donate/progressive-summit-2016_copy/
This past weekend, Battle Born Progress held the second annual Progressive Summit in Las Vegas which was extremely successful. Participants walked away with knowledge on how to make long-term progressive change in their communities.
There is a $10.00 attendance fee for this event and free scholarships are available by contacting Blanca Gamez at Bgamez@battlebornprogress.org. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
