Congressman Ro Khanna Joins Nevada Progressive Summit as Keynote Speaker

NEVADA – Today, Battle Born Progress is announcing Congressman Ro Khanna will deliver a keynote address at the organization’s ninth annual Progressive Summit. The Nevada Progressive Summit, held each year, aims to bring together volunteers and activists from around the state for two days of workshops, training, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen the progressive movement to build change for communities in Nevada. This year, the theme and focus of the Summit will be how Nevadans protected democracy, rights, and freedoms during the midterm election, and on mobilizing Nevadans for the upcoming 2023 session of the Nevada Legislature. 

Congressman Ro Khanna represents California’s 17th District in the House of Representatives. He sits on the House Agriculture, Armed Services, and Oversight and Reform committees, where he chairs the Environmental Subcommittee. Khanna is also the Deputy Whip of the Congressional Progressive Caucus; serves as an Assistant Whip for the Democratic Caucus and is the Democratic Vice Chair of the House Caucus on India and Indian Americans. His main policy priorities include working to democratize the digital economy, bringing advanced manufacturing jobs to factory towns, and advancing U.S. leadership on climate, human rights, and diplomacy around the world.
