LAS VEGAS- Battle Born Progress is excited to announce that Former Texas State Senator Wendy Davis will join us for our Progressive Summit on Saturday, January 30, 2016.
She will be present to campaign on behalf of Hillary Clinton.
State Senator Davis earned national respect for performing a 13-hour filibuster to block Senate Bill 5, a sweeping anti-choice bill that sought to impose unnecessary and burdensome requirements on women’s health providers. Davis announced her endorsement of Clinton in September.
The second annual Progressive Summit will be held in Las Vegas at the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston Campus. CSN is one of many generous sponsors this year. The event will feature national, state and local speakers, panels and workshops to teach community members the basics of how to be involved as a grassroots activist in 2016 and beyond. This day and a half long event is open to the public. Participants must register to attend and can do so here: http://bit.ly/SouthernNV_Summit. There is a $20.00 attendance fee and scholarships are available. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided both days.
Battle Born Progress is a non-partisan organization and has made an attempt to invite all Presidential candidates and their campaigns on both sides of the aisle to participate. Battle Born Progress does not endorse any candidate or candidate’s campaign.
