STATEMENT Regarding One Year Anniversary of October 1 Shooting

Las Vegas, NV – Today marks the one year anniversary of the worst mass shooting in American history. Battle Born Progress released the following statement:

“One year later, we are still heartbroken by a senseless act of gun violence that has left a permanent mark on our community. During the past year, our community learned how to care for itself and those that were affected by the shooting. As a native Las Vegan, I am proud of how our city came together to deal with this tragedy and regain the strength necessary to move our community forward. Although we are #VegasStronger, we still look to our elected officials to take action to address the issue of gun violence in our country in a real way since nothing has changed since this senseless tragedy happened,” said Annette Magnus, Battle Born Progress Executive Director.
